I’ve noticed a lot of strange eyebrows recently and can remember reading an article on this somewhere can’t quite remember where but..er, anyroad.

It basically underlined the golden eyebrow rules based on hair colour.

I really agreed with them so here goes…

Blondes

In order to add defintion it is best to have eyebrows that are a few shades darker than you hair,

and I mean a FEW , you want soft defintion not hard slapper :)

Brunettes

Eva does it right with having her eyebrows a little bit lighter than her hair colour this is to soften the brunette look and to not look to ‘hard’

but at the same time not too light that it looks daft.

Redheads

Similiar to Blondes, because some paler redheads have almost invisible brows, try to create defintion but in a subtle way a soft brown pencil kinda colour.

These aren’t hard and fast rules though, there are SOME people who can pull the  frosted eyebrow or dark ones or nearly invisibles one :)

I cand across this good link about eyebrow styling whilst browsing this :)

enjoy

eyebrows

till next time

All you ivory and porcelain lovelies with sympathise with me ,

when I say the choice for foundation for very pale people is very poor at times.

The shopping trips made that start off with such enthusiaism, that gradually trickles off into despair to the point where I’d wear anyhthing that didnt make me look like a tangerine.

Anyhoo I came aross a good buy the other day.

Lasting Perfection Foundation form Collection 2000

Its Shade of Ivory, is for a change…….fit for pale skin.

The appearance on your skin is smooth and creamy, and coverage is excellent.

The foundation is oil free, and I’ve noticed you don’t really get sticky hand syndrome ith this one.

A little bit goes a long way. Using one skirt does pretty well on my face and

I have a lot of face to cover :)

Colour 8/10

Coverage 7/10

Texture 7/10

This is a definate winner for me , all of you Porcelain Dolls give this a go :)

If your a falsie fashionsita

or are simply a false lash novice like me and need to practice, get yourself

N.Y.C.New York Colour False Lashes.

I bought them for £1.99,

yeah thats right £1.99!!!

bargain or what :) and they are self adhesive and work very well :) .

All you have to do is use tweezers at the end of the strip lash line and apply by pressing the inner corner in first , and smooth along the lash.

The styles are limited but vary in fullness, If a more vivid lash style is for you Eyelure is helpful, however more expensive.

Go for it! Faking it has never been so much fun :)

Hola!

I’ve done another look, very simple but has a nice contrast to it, great for when you have very little time and wana make it look like you’ve spent more time on your apperance then you actually have.

1) Apply a light mint green shade into the inner corner of your eyes.over and underneath.

2) Apply dark ‘choclatey’ shade of brown to the outerlids and slightly outside the lid line.

3) next its time to apply black into the crease of the eyelid to create defintion, use a thin brush applicator to do this.

4) after that I applied black kohl liner to the outer edge, where the brown shadow is and underneath where the dark eyeshadow is.

P.S remember to blend everything together so the gradient effect is smooth.

I wasn’t too hot this day I admit.

5) I applied like a brown shell coulour to the top of the eyelid to act as a highlighter .

6) Then its time to apply mascara or kohl if u really want to but im goin au naturel…

Thanks for reading hope this was helpful :)

Precious (A Novel By Sapphire)   – 15 Cert.

I went to see this film last night, and one word Amazing!

Gabourey Sibide is really good as precious, shes very believable in a subtle, subdued kinda way, not one of these films where the troubled teen is mouthy, and OTT which I found refreshing.Hopefully she’ll do more powerful films like this.

I heard all the hype about this film, and went into the film expecting it to be more difficult to watch than it was, which I thought was good , the more palleteable(sp.) this film is the betteras more people will see it, but I did not detract away from how shocking the subject matter was.

I was also shocked that it was a 15, but again I think this is a good thing.

Brief Summary

For the people who don’t know what the story is about, Precious is about an obese teen living in Harlem 1987  , cannot read or write and pregnant with her 2nd child. She lives with her abusive mother who sits at home all day sapping off Werlfare and orders Precious to wait on her hand and foot. She is suspended from here first school and sent to ‘alternative’ education , where she meets Ms. Rain who inspires her that life can be different. I know that’s very brief but I don’t wanna spoil it for potential viewers there is a lot more to this film a definetly worth a watch.

Mo’nique who plays Mary, Precious’s chain smoking, sponging , abusive, foul mouthed mother is fantastic playing this  monstrous character, I found it hard to believe it was the same woman I saw in’ Phat Girlz’ years earlier . For me she was  the most powerful performance in this film seconded by Gabourey, but many people will probably disagree.

Also Starring…

Mariah Carey

Paula Patton

Lenny Kravitz

I give this film an 8/10

Hey thought I would drop a few comments as I havent for a while.

The snow seems to have cleared up , thank god as I didn’t fancy being housebound for another few weeks due to snow, did anyone else get snowed in the begining of this year??

Three weeks I was, and when I did decide to brave the Ice with pram in tow, I fell into a wall and pulled my groin muscle for 3 days, the morale of this story….laziness pays off lol.

But er , yeah so I’m glad thats over.

Me and another blogger has discussed a post they did on fashion make up so I’m trying to practise some of the looks, I’m not doin too well ….but practise makes perfect so hopefully I’ll nail it :)

I’m catching up on the latest Episode of the new series of America’s Next Top Model, I feel behind with it but I love it soo much , so jumped back on the wagon lol.

I loove Laura she’s just so sweet wanna put her in my pocket lol, and possibly has the worlds best accent hehe.

Heylo!

been a while since I’ve done a tutorial and I though it was about time I uploaded this one :)

1) Apply light orange eyeshadow to the inner corner of the eye to create an eye widening effect.

2) apply a slightly darker orange shade next to the light shade.

3) Apply a bright shade of Orange shadow next, to build up like a gradient effect.

4) Next its time to grab a red eye shadow and apply the shadow from the outer crease inward.

5) Now, its time to find some deep dark shade of purple to act asa contraster to add definition.I applied lightly to create subtle definition.

6) I added black liquid liner, but you do’t have to but I feel it adds definiton. you can leave it as it is , as glitter , falsies etc.

I added liquid liner & miss sporty mascara in black

This is how it looks without kohl liner…

this is what it looks like with :)

Thankyou for reading this hope it was useful :) :)

XOXO
